Lesson from Joe Villalpando - Pool IQ

I posted quite a while ago that I received a freebie lesson from Joe Villalpando just prior to his launching Kick Shots DVD and promised myself I'd pay for the next lesson.

I finally got the chance. I found myself with a couple of hours to kill in the Quads so I called Joe. He arrived within 10 minutes. In my first lesson he showed me some of his clock system and I've been working on it for several months. There were a few issues I needed to go over with him.
In about 45 minutes he not only worked out all the issues but showed me several other pieces to the puzzle I had not seen before.

The best thing about Joe's systems is they're simplier to use and understand than most of the systems I use or know about. The formulas are simple with extremely easy math and memorization.

I guess I let my pride get in my way and resisted not buying his Kicking DVD. Well some of the extra stuff he showed me is in that DVD. When I left the pool hall I owned Kick Shots and watched it that night.

These 2 DVD's have a ton of great information. Buy them both no matter who you are if you want more knowlege of the game. For the pros they may be simply a great review but possibly a simpler approach to what you're doing now.

Joe's system is great whether you can follow it up with a private lesson or not. I have been lucky enough to get lessons from Joe fairly often when I'm in the pool hall. I can't express how much my game has improved since the first time I worked with him.

Just the other night, I surprised a few people (myself more than most) by beating him a few times in 10-ball. Normally I wouldn't be able to get out with 5 or 6 balls left, but now my lines are better, his 2nd DVD and lessons pertaining to it have my table management improved by 110%.

If anyone out there has had the opportunity to work with him or even just shoot against him, they will all agree that he is probably one of the most knowledgeable players/instructors out there...and a hell of a nice guy too.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again...you want to kick for the cash? Get the kicking DVD! You want to improve your position play and breakouts? Get the Pool IQ DVD! You want to become a deadly player who can get a hit and create shots from anywhere? Get 'em both.

Don't take my word for it...ask anybody who's worked with him and they'll all tell you the same. I've never heard a bad word about Joe or his system!
