I have taken one with Mike. I thought he was a nice guy, but I thought he gave me more credit than I deserved. He had me take out a rack of balls, and warm up making them, while he watched my stroke. He felt my stroke was good, and did not need any change, so we spent a lot of time working on position play. I would say I am a "C" player, and think I need better consistency from my stroke. I have also taken one with Scott Lee. While he did not change much in my stroke, he did change a few small things (which I think are important things), and spent about 45 minutes going over video revew of my stroke, and why each thing was corredt or incorrect. This gave me a better understanding of what might be going wrong when I am not playing well.
I do think Mike is a worth while instructor, especially for the very reasonable rates he charges. I have also recommended him to others, and he did a very nice job of helping them with their setup and stroke. If money were not a factor, I would have Scott Lee come over. If you need a more economical approach, then I think a lesson with Mike is worth the time.
