Let´s play - guess the maker !?

UUhhh, english trouble !
What you mean with "gives the recut away" ?
Or did you mean "gives the recut a way" ?

thx in advance,
Erich

I thought you were asking how we could tell the cue had recuts. What I was saying was that the pic posted is the pic that I saw and immediately thought "oh, that's a recut".

I got it - that you knowed it in case of that pic, but i tried to see a difference to veneered cues in that pic and didn´t catch it realy.
And of course, the sentence you wrote (gives the recut away) made no sense for me (that´s in case of my english).
But if that means - yes, it´s recut for sure, then all is fine
But i am still trying to see the difference in case of that pic

That pic is up close to the point of the cue. If they were veneers, you would be able to see a slight glue line that seperates the two veneers on each side of the point. The picture you took is so close, and so well focused, that it is obvious that the glue line isn't there, and that the cue is a recut.

Thanks for the explanation, and that was the thing i allready thought it would be,
but i have a veneered cue where you are not realy able to find the glue, too.
Will try to make some pics.
Thx again,
Erich
