Let me know the difference of inlay point vs veneer point

I wonder how difference between 2 making point methods: inlay and veneer.
Could you let me know how they are.

1. Cons and Pros
2. Playability
3. Stability (I mean elasticity betwwen woods)

BTW, what is max of actual veneer? 4 or more?
