I knew some people who played in the Mike Betts tournament last weekend in Tulsa. They said he played just about flawless. He ran out many many sets. Not the whole race to eleven, but several times he needed 2,3,4,5 games to close out and he would break and run the set several times. The format was perfect:Winner break & rack your own.The week before at the midwest, on alternate break, he broke and ran his 11 games on shane mcminn. It sounds like he is getting in stroke. He got second at the midwest and won the tulsa tournament, i thought he needed some praise.

Matlock has been a champion for some years now. I will never forget watching him badly beat Earl about 5 years ago in a tournament. David played amazing, almost completely flawless the entire match. Wouldn't have mattered who he played that day. I always knew how good he was on a bar box but i must admit he can play lights out on a big table as well.

The only problem it seems, he is rather fickle. Certain things really bug him and he lets it bother him too much. Don't let him fool you. He can play just as good on the big table. I wished he would make some more road trips and make some of these tournaments, he could bust alot of them. He really only likes to gamble. I don't really blame him...
