One in the same. James is the new curator of the "Rauenzarella". It's in a good home.
Seeing cue designs from the same cue-maker is a real treat for my eyes.
I wish there was a section dedicated by cue-maker's name, Imagine seeing
dozens of different Richard Black cue designs or Tascarella or Mobley...etc.
So I hope some others take this as a hint........my collection is too small to use
to start more threads like this but others out there have an armada of cue-makers
in their collections. All it takes is a few minutes to start a new thread and this could
become a trend.......wouldn't that be enjoyable and interesting to view or I think so.

Oh yeah.......this is what cue-making is all about as far as my taste in cues runs.
Look at some of these designs.......and these three in particular sit on the top shelf.
The Mosconi Tribute just glows & if I'm not mistaken, uses original acrylic Jerry had from Palmer.
I debated using the acylic with my first cue, decided not to and then of course, this cue was released.
OMG....the copper rings look so friggin' cool......old school nostalgia at is best........Great design.

This would make ole George Balabushka very proud. It's made from an early 2 piece Hoppe Pro with ivory ring and full splice real Brazilian Rosewood ta boot!!! The Rosewood is so dark it almost looks like Ebony. Jerry told me it smelled soooo good when he was transitioning it to his tribute of the Color of Money cue, but this one's the REAL deal. Ivory ferrule and ivory joint help make this cue hit incredibly sweet. I prefer the stainless steel radial pin for the joint; and the abalone is a perfect match with the ivory V-shaped inlays. Those are the original 0.50" silver/nickel rings like George would have used himself. The shaft is 3.9 oz and old growth Lake Michigan hard rock maple; and the butt weighs in at 15.3 oz. The balance point is about 19 1/2" up from the rear of the Delrin buttplate and makes for a well balanced hit.
Now the nearly seemless black Hoppe style leather wrap is a perfect match for the cue. Jerry surprised me with that one. I had asked him to do what he thought would fit the cue for a wrap. Nice touch SIR Jerry!!!
This is as OLD SCHOOL as it gets. Mr. Rauenzahn's Color of Money cue is $$$$ AWESOME. Thank you for letting me share Jerry's work..... (<:

Another Rauenzahn beauty
Jerry Rauenzahn and I spent hours talking about the design of this cue over the past several years. He thought this combination of materials would fit well together like the old Bushka's in the early days.
Here is an old Brazilian Rosewood full spliced titlist with ivory joint and ferrules, stainless steel radial pin, the real deal Cortland linen wrap, and abalone inlays just like the Master builder George Balabushka would have done himself.
This cue just arrived in time to celebrate the Holidays. WOW!!! Hits like a dream. Cue looks much better under good lights; and it really POPS up close.

bridged pointed Bushka design by Rauenzahn #1 of 1
This is Jerry Rauenzahn's first bridged 4 pointer cue he's ever built. Jerry and I designed this baby a couple years ago and to my surprise it was delivered today. WOW!!!!

I can not believe the points on this cue.
DEAD NUTS!!!! Points of Perfection by the Master Jerry Rauenzahn. Ivory propellers are tight and snug.
His box work is astounding by a shop that's done by traditional old school methods just as the MASTERS performed before him. Truly a work of art!! Notice how each box in the butt sleeve has nearly perfect mitered 45 degree angles with invisible glue lines.... how????

19 0z; 18++ inches up from the bottom for balance; an old, original Predator 314 without the cat (made in USA 1996), shaft, and an ivory ferruled Jerry -R-auenzahn (Rauenzahn) super maple shaft, all have matching ringwork.

Jerry sent this front weighted player that hits ABSOLUTELY LIGHTS OUT!!! The butt weighs 14.3 oz and the shaft is an even 4.0 oz. 18.3 total weight and the balance point is 20" up from the tip of the butt plate. The grain in the East Indian Rosewood is irridescent, almost 3-D in depth. All I can say is the veneer work is beyond words. There are no flaws, no glue lines, WOWWWW. This is the nicest 6 veneer pointed cue I have ever witnessed. The return points are nearly flawless.
The biggest surprise was the hit of the old melamine ferrule (I'm talking about the really old stuff) Jerry installed as the tip. POW!!!
Straight grain maple is the nuts for the forearm on this NASTY FS BEAST!!!

Jerry Rauenzahn and I had a couple of ideas to try out and incorporate into Kingwood and East Indian Rosewood. We decided on elliptical loops in the butt sleeve matching the flame veneers in the butterflies and points. I wanted the hit a little different so we went with the double black linen joint collars instead of my usual choice of ivory or stainless steel. Jerry also had an OLD MICARTA chunk stashed away he turned down for this cue's ferrule. It has a wonderful sound and feel. And the leather wrap is outstanding!!!
