Does anybody think this deal is a modified Ponzi scheme?
Take a look at this:

I don't want to sound like I am defending KT, God forbid, but there is nothing from the start of this thing that even smacks a little bit of being a con. It was an over ambitious plan that began to take on a life of it's own. Kt has a history of shooting himself in the foot with bad business plans. Almost always due to over extending himself and this is just another example. That is why so many of us so called naysayers keep using the phrase "It makes no sense" because it doesn't and never has.
It has been a Mission Impossible plot from the beginning where everything had to fall into place perfectly for things to work. If anything goes wrong the whole thing falls apart. Barring KT just continuing to write checks from his pocket with no realistic expectation of getting it back, it had to crash. To be honest, I think if KT had the money he WOULD pay, I don't think he really cares that much about money per say, he throws it away like it is going out of style anyway. That's one of the things that gives the impression he has more then he does. The IPT it looks like has reached the "Blood from a stone" stage though and even with the best of intentions there is nothing they can do at the minute till they secure funds from where ever.
The various cover stories have bought them time but have become obvious they are just stories. The only hope is that they in good faith, and that is all there is right now, try the best they can meet their obligations to the players and what ever creditors they have somehow. The Mr. H deal is a complete mystery and can't be given much credibility at this point, who knows what that is all about. The saddest part of this whole thing is, it never had to happen. The kind of money they have already thrown around if managed properly, could have been the basis of something really good if run by someone who had any idea what they were doing.
They could, if the future of pool was their primary objective, but I don't see it happening, go back to the drawing boards and completely redesign this thing and come back with something that at least may have a chance of working, but their current plan has proven it can't work in the long term. For many of us it has been like watching a train wreck about to happen and no one with their hand on the brake. It is pretty frustrating and must be extremely frustrating for those actually involved who would have liked to had KT ear for a few minutes with the hope he would listen. I feel many players with their more inside view must have looked at this thing with complete wonder as to how this could possibly work.
At the very beginning KT said and I quote, "You will see things you won't understand, trust us we know what we are doing". That was a reasonably request and is often the case, but it appears it was not completely true, they were making it up as they went along. Great successes have come from this kind chaos, I read the Godfather was being written as they were filming and changes made mid scene. When they were done they thought they had made possibly the biggest failure ever but it turned out to work. That doesn't make it a good model to follow though.
I don't think anyone can believe this was the smooth running machine they tried to project, that became pretty apparent in the very beginning. Those who said that all business have growing pains and you have to give them time, that's true except they haven't operated like a growing business and were blowing money left and right, I.E. Player perks at the tournaments, over production and so on, while being undercapitalizes. More flash then cash, not a good formula for success.
