I have 3 IIIs and a I. Mechanics seem inept. I have seen specific directions from Brunswick some where. Can someone direct me??

level

If you are talking about leveling the table and not the slates...The IIIs should have leveler feet. The I has non-threaded feet so you will have use some kind of floor shims. Find the natural highest leg and raise the other three to it.

Or, allowing the feet to seek the floor, level (shim) the base frame to the stretcher. This was always my preferred method.

Good suggestion... I will try that next time. Thanks

Correct way.

Glen

I always level side to side first, as to remove any twist that might be present, then end to end last, but that only works to level the frame...not the slates. Slates are a whole nother ball game, which has to be done in conjunction with leveling the frame of the table.

I agree, Glen. Having a solidly levelled base frame can save a lot of shims when the slated are installed. I always enjoyed the very heavy duty hardware that came with the GCI stretcher / baseframe. That thing was solid.
