Hey,

What is the least expensive wood-wood uni-loc radial cue that is in production? Looking for preferably new, but will consider used in the $100~ range shipped.
I've seen the Lucasi L-ER on eBay for like $120 but it's a steel joint and I really would like to try a wood joint.

Thanks!

The Lucasi L-ER...

has a wood-to-wood joint. It just has a steel pin like most cues.

Ahhh.. I apologize, I meant to say the L-2006. The L-ER almost fits the bill, however the leather wrap is a deterrent. If I'm not mistaken, the 'leather' is synthetic, right? I currently have a lucasi with synthetic leather and I hate it. Looking for wrapless or irish linen.

On another note, are there advantanges, besides response, to having a wood-wood joint as opposed to a steel joint?

You're right - leather on Lucasis are synthetic. But the Le-r does come with a linen wrap - see here

Most would agree that a wood-to-wood joint gives a softer, less jarring hit than a steel-jointed cue but feel's also subjective and you gotta find out which you prefer.

I would but i cant justify spending half the value of the cue just to modify it a little. $100~ is my budget at the moment and I really would like to play with a wood-wood radial
