found a decent deal on a diamond light...but it’s for a 8 foot table and I have a 9 foot GC. Does it matter????! Home table. Thanks.

If you can put another fluorescent fixture in it and hang it at least 5 feet over the table, yes (barely)

so I guess the bottom line seems to be..pass on the 8ft diamond light since I own a 9ft table? TIA

The Diamond Light for a 9ft table only has 8ft long worth of lamps in it. What are the fixtures inside this particular Diamond Light? Are we even sure there are different sized diamond lights?

I only know its for sale locally, and owner says its for a 8...I was hoping it didn't matter and would buy it ,

It shouldn't matter enough to bother you, it's going to be better than those old 3 brass lights with 3 100 watt bulbs. If it's not enough light you could put stronger bulbs in it. I think the Diamond light might look weird with a Gold Crown table, but if you like buy it.
