What bulbs do you use in your pool table light? I will have my table installed next week and have a three "dome" light and was wondering if I should use soft white or those "screw" looking flourescent bulbs. What wattage do you recommend?

Those ballastless flourescent bulbs are weak.

When you say ballastless, are you referring the screw in flourescent bulbs? I think I can get those in 100 watt size, not sure.

Not to mess with your post but I can't help mentioning what this brings to my mind.

About a year ago when I got my brand new Brunswick table, I didn't have a light yet. I did have an old 4 ft. shop light (fluorescent). So I screwed it to the ceiling of my basement and said 'It will do for now'. Of course I had to have the fellows on my team over to see my new table. That Saturday afternoon most of the team showed up. The highlight of the afternoon was about my light. It was on the ceiling instead of being suspended at a certain height over the table. Two of the team members insisted that they needed the light closer to the table so they could use the reflection on the balls to aim there shots. And I was wondering why my team was on the bottom of the list. LOL

No, those are starters. The balst is either a large electroagnet (heavy and hummms) or is electronic (no hum, less weight).
