Lighting

I found some LEDS today that may work. They are 5K color temp and are equivilent to 100W light bulbs. I may go with 8 instead of six.

Will post some pics although the color kind of washes out.

good chose if you can stand the cost !
full spectrum Leds last forever and are better for your eyes and also you will save on energy costs!

hint make sure you get a new led rated lutron dimmer as bulbs will last even longer ,plus u can control brightness!

Ballafish,

Can you tell me the spacing pattern that you used, in both directions?

I was trying with all of them over the table. I never through to put any off the table.

I just went and checked out some of the CFL floods. I picked upa 6 pack of 120W 5K equivilent bulbs to try those.

Fish on, I am not opposed to the cost of the LEDS if they end up working the best. I am probably being anal about it, but I am getting a brand new diamond table, so I want it all to be perfect.

I have the flexability to move the lights to anywhere in the cieling, I also put a dimmer on them.

I appreciate all the help and feedback.

Lighting . . .

I like lots of light on a table . . . I have an 8 1/2" Brunswick with a 4 lamp incandescent fixture over the table. Height from the floor to the bottom of the fixture shades is 63". I use 4 GE 100 watt Reveal's and it does great . . . looks like Yankee Friggin' Stadium baby!

I think diamond sends out 860... and not 760? I think 860 is what is coming for my table and is what is used in the tournments....

BEST Pool Table Lighting

The best color for crispy lighting is 6000K, 3000K is sun light but it has a yellowish hue and does not make items appear sharp and crisp.
Look under " LED Professional Pool Table Lights " They make a great light for the money. They have panels of LED'S with 225 LED'S in each panel. They are also directional so there is no glare in your eyes even if you are on the side line.
80% less operation cost over other type lighting. You will not believe how clear LED lighting makes your table look, brings out the color of the balls, and makes everything crisp and sharp.
Most players have a nice table and a nice cue, why are they trying to play in the dark?

Check it out for yourself ! ! Under:

Heres a picture of my setup. All dimmable 5500k CFL bulbs on 2 dimmable LED/CFL switches. As the CFL bulbs burn out I'm replacing with LED bulbs.
The can lights are the $9 home depot specials, total of 8. Ceiling can lights on one switch, and on the second switch are the exact same 5500k dimmable CFL bulbs for the pool table lights.
The pool table light is just a cheap ($100) 3 light fixture. Works for me without issues.
Good luck with your project.
