It might help if you were to post the Reserve Price. I just hate it when people put a reserve price on their auction.

We hate reserve prices, too. It was a really tough decision for us to make. We decided to run the auction with a reserve, so we could start the bidding at a low price, which would help more folks find us. We only put a reserve on the cue as a safety net, because this isn't just any old cue... It's a special collector's item and it's 1 of 10 (or 1 of 15, depending on how you want to look at it). The reserve is nowhere near the actual value of the cue before collectible value. It's just a safety net price. All the cues in this collection will have the same reserve price.

Gene said to spill the beans. The reserve price is $499.99.

Very Reasonable reserve price. Just remember most auction that doesn't meet reserve price, doesn't sell. I would of thought $795.00. GL on the auction.

Like I said, the value is way above the reserve price. The reason for keeping the reserve price so low was because it would save just a little bit of money on the listing fees. EBay and PayPal aren't cheap, ya know? :(

We already spent extra $$$$$ on advertising and to make sure we had just the right woods for this project.

Good guess, Bob. You are $5 from where we almost set the reserve price.

There are less than 3 hours left until the end of the auction.

I just read the Royal Twister website and see that the rest of the cues have auction dates set for a future date. Any chance of a mailing list so that we don't miss out on future auctions? I would love to do some bidding on the Masse cues.

What was the result of the first E-Bay auction, which did not hit the reserve amount??

There were a lot of last minute questions coming in and some of the guys who intended to bid on it had forgotten it was so soon after the Expo. As suggested above, if an e-mail notification list was maintained to remind folks about each new auction starting/ending soon, it might have helped that auction.

Gene decided to select the Cocobolo and Curly Maple he feels are the absolute best of the best for that cue and is entertaining ideas on what would be the best way to direct the cue to it's new owner.
