Limit to Veneers on Fullsplice Cues???

I've been thinking of putting together a wood combination on a fullsplice cue I want to have built and I'm stumped on something. I could make a quick phone call, but thought I'd post the question in case someone wanted it in the future...

Is there a limit on the amount (as well as the size) of veneers when constructing a fullsplice? Also can paper veneers be used?

You're probably better off making the phone call. There are a select few cuemakers who build fullsplice cues with veneers, and each of them has spent time developing their own methods. It would be best to ask the guy you intend to build your cue.

There are different thicknesses available of veneers, which adds another factor to the question. I have stock in the .020 and .036 range.

The method cuemakers like Jerry R, Scott Gracio and Darrin Hill have settled on certainly allows them to use paper veneers in their fullsplice cues.
