Linen wrap question

The wrap on my Schon seems to be pilling in places. It's also "fuzzy" looking. Is there something I can do or would I need to have it looked at by a tech or Schon?

If the wax paper does not work then you should probably have someone repress and starch it on a lathe.

Just picked up my shaft from Barnhart yesterday and he said he'd repress it for me. I'll probably take him up on that. Thanks for the reply.

Wet sand with 2500 grit sandpaper, with tape over the buttsleeve and forearm next to the wrap. Lot of elbow grease, and it will be smooth as a baby's bottom.

Not to hijack the thread but, how big of a job is it to replace a leather wrap with Irish linen. (Not me but one who does this kind of work). Is it expensive? Is the void where the leather wrap lies too deep for the Irish linen? In other words, does it have to be built up? Thanks.

Usually it has to be build up depending on the thickness of the leather previously use. Most of the time is a slight difference.
