Hello cuemakers - please help.
My Mezz Axi has the nornal kind of linen, it slips through the hand easily and has a bit of shine to it. A guy at my pool hall has an Exceed with a very different linen wrap, his is grippy and matte. It looks/feels thinner than mine, very smooth to the point that you almost can't see the individual strands, it looks like a continuous matte surface from a distance. But grippier than leather to the touch, I like it a lot! Unfortunately he bought the cue used and has no idea if the wrap was previously modified in any way.
Anyone knows if Exceed wraps are different from Mezz ones or if there is a way to make mine to be like that ? I have heard about sanding the wrap, could that be how it was done? I don't know how sanding works exactly and if it will get me the result I'm looking for.
