OK, a simple question here for you cuemakers. I just got a shurtz cue from Bob Owen and the linen wrap he did on it is VERY nicely done...almost too nicely. Its a little too smooth though so its kinda slippery in my hand...Is there anything I can do to it thats not gonna harm it but make it more "grippy" for me? I like the cue and how it plays, but I'm considering having the wrap changed already to leather cause of this issue I have with it...HELP!!! lol thanks guys, Jeff

I think that there was a thread on exactly that issue in the last month. Try doing a seach.

thanks!

I don't remember who sent me the email about this, but maybe you didn't want everyone to know anyways...But thank you for the little tip on alchohol! it IS better now that its not as slick, so I'm gonna play with it for a while as stated also to see if the oils from my hand help also...But we all know that eventually I'm gonna have it changed to leather..its inevitable!

Rub it with a lightly dampened cloth.
Unless the guy that wrapped it used some sort of a finish over it that should remove some of the slickness.
