anbody else get an invite for LinkedIn from Joe Young @ american cueist billiards?

got an invite out of the blue and not really sure i even know this guy or had any correspondence with him, so i thought i would ask everyone else on az. if they know what this linkedin is about?

I haven't got an invite from that person but I do use LinkedIn.

It is basically a contact sharing website. People use it for business connections. You may have someone in your connections at business ABC where the other person is interested in looking for a job, so they would either contact you and ask you to put them in touch with that third person, or they would contact the third person directly and it would tell that third person that you are connected to both parties.

Not sure if you were concerned what the LinkedIn site was or specifically why you got an invite from someone you didn't know.

i didnt know why i got an invite, thought it was billiards related or some sort of scam or something.
