And Pechauer's early cues have a 5/16-14, but you couldn't put
say, a Schon 5/16-14 shaft on them.. it was slightly off.

I intended to post that 5/16-14 pins/inserts are not all the same. Add on top of that, the pilots are not standard. All of my cues are 5/16-14, but they are not as interchangeable as I would like.
