regional BCAPL event 1400 players
I have ALWAYS believed that live streaming POOL LEAGUE city cups, regionals and nationals was the way to go.
I don't understand league operators who don't invest in live streaming. This is the way to grow your league and to keep players coming back. Family and friends get to watch them play pool FOR FREE. With all of the phones and social media, each event could have its own FREE ADVERTISEMENT.
I know that the people who play in pool leagues have JOBS and have MONEY to spend. Still today, I find many people who play pool who still don't understand what Live Streaming is all about.
When you have family and friends watching from home, the league operators are increasing and broadening their target audience.
Since you probably don't want a weekly expense for live streaming and you don't want to overstimulate the people at home, it is probably better to just live stream the larger events, but make a big deal out of it and hire a professional live streamer, one who knows how to promote as well as do professional commentary.
There is a lot at stake. With the direction of professional pool, amateur events are going to be taking center stage.
As a matter of fact, a fairly large event is taking place this weekend at White Diamonds in Lafayette, Louisiana. Check out
www.poolactiontv.com to see how they live stream this event. This is a bit different type of tournament and all events can be tailored to meet your needs. I'm not a salesman for poolactiontv, but they do a fine job all over the country. I've worked with some of the other live streamers and everyone has their strengths and weaknesses.
Hope you have fun and this step leads you to even greater successes.
