the little green things are whats called Positive Rep... (reputation)
when you make a good or informative post, somebody can click on the justis scales that is in your post box, and they can leave you a positive or negative comment.. and the more positive comments you get, it adds up points, and then when you get a certain amount, it displays it in the amont of green boxes you have..
