These look like they might be 6 foot tables. The cloth look very fuzzy. I saw someone on another table and it look like the were ironing the cloth.

Standard uk style 7ft tables in this event with normal uk style napped cloth. They certainly do iron the cloth after cleaning, again this is standard normal uk style table procedure.

Cornerman, if you watch the bar closely you'll eventually see the likes of Darren Appleton and players like Mick Hill, Neil Raybone, Carl Morris, Phil Harrison, Ben Davies and Chris Melling all of whom USA audiences would have seen on the IPT. Tony Drago is also competing though he very rarely plays uk style 8 ball normally. Whether you'll see Darren or Mick actually buy anyone a drink is quite another matter:smile: :p

Edit for update.....Tony Drago lost 8-1 in the last 64.......quite a different game to American style pool is this stuff:)

Current match should be a good one....two pros....prolific potting ex snooker player Chris Melling and good all round player and great tactician Neil (The Rat) Toms.
 
The final was a superb potfest, Melling losing 8-5 to Simon Ward from Wales. I think there were 9 break and runs in those 13 frames (8 ball) :smile:
