Thanks for the heads up, Alan. I must say, Michaela is doing an absolutely stunning job of officiating...

Alan, thank you for the link once again. I wish more people in the U.S. would return to the snooker table. It is a great game.

Time zones ???????

Are the posted times for England time or U.S.A. time zones?
I keep getting the Live Video Coming Soon Message when I try your link.

us time 13:30 is 1:30 east standard time, sorry gotta wait an hour and a half, but it is a quality feed

Alan, thanks for the link.

Just watched Doherty miss a very easy red with the score at hill-hill and Ronnie ran 115 and out. Very cool. Amazing precision on such large tables.

Thanks for the link, I wished we got snooker coverage over here. The strategic element of the game is the best, it's like chess on a green felt.

i saw ronnie's match vs Carter (who apparently totally lost it in that match. he didnt make a single nice clearance, and no idea why but his head wasnt on the table, this gave ronnie a nice opportunity to make some exhibition play. and i LOVE IT when ronnie does it.) not the coolest thing for carter, to see ronnie play shots he would never play in a tournament, but he was so far ahead he could afford it)

Did you see that frame where carter breakes, ronnie shoots in a red from the balkline and gets his cb back up and then SMASHES in the yellow ball to go one cussion LOADED with power and running englisch RIGHT into the pack of reads and spreading them nicely...

man ronnie is THE man :)

to bad i dont got much time to wach more matches. Dott vs ... crap whats his name.. its on the tip of my tongue... (the 'heavier' and smaller guy), seemed to be a tight match with loads of centuries and a hill hill score when i had to go to work.

i must admit, i still prefere to watch snooker over pool, but i prefere to play pool :p

After 14 years of living in the USA after moving from Ireland I still prefer to watch Snooker over Pool....in fact, I still prefer to play Snooker over Pool also but alas, there are no 6x12 Snooker Tables in Jacksonville, Florida so I do play more pool than Snooker.

It is a beautiful game to watch.

Thanks for the original link Alan.

Thanks for putting this information on the forum. Manna from Snooker Heaven.:D

Please keep up your good work assisting the Snooker coverage deprived.

DING in the finals beating steven Hendry 6-2.

GREATH game, some crappyer first 4 frames, but after that amazing games. sTeven hendry looked to come back from 1-3 and make it 3 all, making a 129, but it became 2-4 after a poor safety from steven. Ding replied back with a 128 and a nice 60+ break with only the blue as pink and black where tied up, to go into the finals, where he will play ronnie O sulivan ( :p ok he isnt in the finals yet, but im 2000% sure he will :) with a 98% pot succes rate he is the man to beat.

ding's form was very nice, but his positional play could still get a bit higher, but with the pots ding makes, he can still runout any table. Very atacking player both, and a very enjoyable match.

looking forward to look ronie play in the other semi's tonight and for the SUPER final tomorow.

After watching it all week I have to agree shane. I can't stop thinking about the argument that is often used for pool's lack of TV coverage: "pool is too slow" or "pool is too boring to the average viewer". What I don't get is that Snooker is longer, more complicated, and often has more safety battles than most pool matches.

Why then will there be over 3000 paying audience members and probably over 100 million people watching it world wide?

I have decided pool isn't popular because:

a) Unlike Snooker the game of choice, 9 ball is a game few people play and understand.

b) Pool is too simple, games often take minutes with many racks the same connect the dots style!
