We expect to have a straight pool match between Bobby Hunter and yours truly tonight at 7:00 p.m. Central Time at Red Shoes Billiards in Chicago as part of our weekly Straight Pool League. Bobby, as many of you know, is a former World Champion Straight Pool, having beaten Ray Martin in the finals in 1990. I on the other hand, have a high run in this league of only 23 balls after about 14 weeks.

How'd it go? I was going to watch it but I thought it was 8pm Central....

I put on an embarrassing performance. Par for the course, these days.

Bobby played fairly well. No high runs. 20 something. He hits the ball so hard sometimes they hang. On the other hand the rack gets obliterated. Nice end patterns.

After my game, Bobby played another and beat Rich Klein 125-16, while having 2 runs in the 40 to 50 ball range, while me, Sam, Jeff Mohl and Tom Karabotsos watched. Bobby really does concentrate. Sam and I were chatting throughout and you would not know it by looking at Bobby.
