Yay! I got home just in time to watch this!
I'm just tuning it, I see gutierrez 8 to shane 6, and shane just missed and apparently fouled? And since he proceeded into the next round I guess he just lost. Bummer. He got a a lucky ball go in after a miss, followed by a pretty unlucky leave where he almost had to split two balls and risk a foul in order to make the shot.

Should be a great match! Shane lost a tough set to David G Gutierrez for the hot seat, now has to come back and defeat Chen, who has worked his way through the entire tournament from the 1-loss side after a first round loss to David G.

Jui (Jiu?) Lung made an absolutely sick position shot to take the rack, drilling a 45 degree cut with top to send the cb straight up and down the table to fall perfectly into a little window where a tied-up 5 could pass into the side. 1-0.

This is a beautiful stream anyone who isn't should go watch it, 5-5 shane. He played for a heroic breaking travelling literally from the foot rail to the head rail, didn't get rewarded but played a good safe. Jui's shot leaves the 8 frozen to the left rail and the cb frozen to the right, with like a 50 degree cut, while the 9 is near the foot rail. Shane just sinks the 8 and makes the long cut on the 9 to tie it up.
