Local 8 ball League voted to make a restriction change for the starting of the winter/spring session.
Restriction been in place more than 10 years.
Problem is the ones that help vote it in wasn't here before restriction.
Its been a fun and enjoyable league.
This is a VNEA sanction league.
Meaning to lift the restriction on how many Master players allowed
to play on a five person team. In the past only one Master player was allowed to play on a team league night.
Masters had to stay as 10 average with no change to average.
Which take your score for the night add your points then divide it by how many nights you played to get your average.
1 point per solid or stripe ball you choose to play, up to 7 points plus 3 points for the eight ball.
Team that has the lowest total handicap gets the point difference added to score.
But cap at 15 points per round up to 45 points overall added to total score.
There is 2 Vnea league charters in are area.
Are league decided to vote on the change.
The fun begins.
You might say it may be fair but been there done this in the past.
Sure you have the handicap system in tact but for the little team they still don't stand a chance.
Don't forget the little teams also help support the league.
We have lost a lot of teams from the past because of stack Master players team.
It seems the Big Dogs do almost all of complaining not the little ones.
At one time we had more than 36 teams that played.
Master team coming in isn't only Masters but also have Road hustlers and a Pro or ex-Pro or more.
And some of the players on this team has a 30 or 40 zip games or more.
Meaning break and or run outs back to back games leaving there opponents with zero points
for the night with them getting a perfect night.
Before this restriction there was 2 to 3 stacked teams like this.
Funny thing is some of these players will be traveling more than 150 miles to play that night.
I guess for a fun night out.:D
Oh by the way yes I was on a team that finished second place in the league in the past with
these type of stacked players on a team in the league that are team had to play against.
You definitely have to bring your A+ game to the table.

Master Players Team for League

Well what a way for the Master Players Team to start out.
First week Master Players team gets a "Bye" meaning all four wins.
Plus their 10 average of each player per round score plus
nice total overall for points.
Following week off for Thanksgiving.
And now for last night.
We get to play Master Players Team
It was good to see these guys and talk to that I haven't
seen them in a couple of years or more.
I decided to sit out too use are lower player average.
Well first round was close. We needed Eric to win so
we can get first round.
He decided to do an 8 ball on the break for a quick win.
Eric lines up for the side break of the rack.
Well what do you know, he breaks and the 8 ball goes into
the side pocket but who would of suspected the cue ball to
hit side rail and follows the 8 ball for the instant loss and giving
Steve a 10 zip for the win and they won first round.
Next two rounds and overall was close but we manage to pull it out.
They win one and we take 3
They do Have a strong team.
What a line up
Anthony- Master Player and instructor
Steve Frost- Master Player
John Pent- Master Player
OB
and you can't forget Troy F. (retired) Pro Player
Troy hasn't lost his touch.
Was surprised Corey D. Pro Player didn't stop by
he has in the past but it's been awhile.
They do have on the list few more Master Players
Overall a nice night out and great to see the guys again.
