The place I play pool has several good players and we really have no way of rating each other, you are as good as your last series because the competition is very close. I came up with a simple formula and would like some input. (It may be close to other systems but I don't know).
(8_Ball) The winning player gets 10 points (each game), the losing play marks down how many of his balls are left on the table. The losers remaining balls are subtracted from 9 to give him a score. The worst score would be 2 and the best 10, divide total score by number of games and you get a number. 7.8 for example.
Does this seem like a fair handicap system between relative equals?
Thanks,
BK
