I live in Terre Haute, Indiana.

The wood that they make fence posts (back in the olden days) was locust. It seemed to have a purple, tint to it. It gets incredicably hard, so hard it is killer on chain saws.

Anyone can help me on this wood?

Ken

Yes it is locust but the harding takes a while also it does'nt rot all that fast I think it was black locust .If you need more info I can look it up in one of my books hope this helps....Ray

I have always wanted to build a cue out of Black Locust wood but I have not been able to find any for sale. :)

I made a cue out of Honey Locust (Thorn tree) and love it. It is a beautiful reddish color with nice grain and very hard, much like Black Locust.
I don't recall seeing any Locust with a purple tint as Ken mentioned.

Wanna work together on a cue?

Mr. Wadsworth,

I have put a deposit on a John Showman cue, but it has a 5 year wait. Working with Ron Hailey on cue for Christmas for me.

If you would be interested in building me a cue, let me know what your delivery schedule current is at.

Thanks
Ken

Depending of the complexity of the cue - 6 weeks to 6 months. Please call me and I will be happy to work with you to build a cue to meet your needs and desires.
