I promised to help him out and maybe one of you's will benefit as well.

I believe it has a 1.375 spindle bore.

That's a good question. I didn't understand the connection between a 5c closer and the live center in the tailstock.
I bought the CNC because it does everything.

The draw bar tube for the 5c would have too small of an ID to fit a butt. You would have to remove the collet closer assembley to make it work. But from what I can see it has no cross slide screw so it looks like it's set up for cutting tapers.
