Wow what a difference the cleaning made. This one could use some new paint and a good cleaning but runs like a champ. This lathe has been used for cue repair for the last 15 years maybe longer. It was in a pool room when we bought it and we have had it for 5 years and have used it for cue repair. We just bought a porper model B last year and don't use it(logan) that much anymore. What did you pay for your logan lathe? Thanks

I paid $800 for it on Ebay. It was filthy. But, I had it turned on and made sure the power feed and threading were working.
A new 6-jaw Bison chuck with the backplate is a little over $500.
The compound was missing.
That adds another hundred.
I don't realy care for the paint. I just want it to look halfway decent and 100% functional. I even removed the thread gear box to clean it. Took the headstock out too. Handbrushed all the teeth. Placed all small parts on degreaser/washer for hours. Then brushed them clean.

Sounds like you put a lot of work in to it. I'm asking $1500. for this lathe and If I can't get that I will use it to do tapers and some other things. They are great old machines and they don't make them like this anymore. This lathe is just a little over kill for me and I don't use it enough to keep it.
