Steve and I have been talking about a new design for his jump cues. I asked him to build me a jump cue and he did. After I got it I decided that I wanted a very CUSTOM jump-butt. Steve, said "no problem".
Below are some photos of the only jump-butt design I know of. If some others have built a Long-Neck jump-butt, I just haven't seen one.
It is designed PRIMARILY for long distance jump shots where precision is at a premium. I just got it recently and haven't had a chance to practice much with it but I let a couple of others guys who really play pool take a couple of swings with it and they wanted to know where I got something like that immediately. There were a lot of WOWS being acknowledged. We'll see in the days ahead if I can be more accurate with it. Right now, I'm saying YES. I know one thing for sure and that is there is NO jump cue I have ever used that can get over balls so easily.
The Jump handle is the regular size of a break cue but the neck narrows down kind of like a beer bottle fitting perfectly with the shaft collar, hence the "Long-Neck" name.
The next one shows the smaller jump butt for dart jumping and shorter jumps.
