I have been thinking about getting a longer cue. maybe in the 59" or possible 60" cue. what are teh advantages/disadvantages of longer cues? I have a long bridge but i have small fingers so sometimes when stroking for a longer draw shot for instance, the cue get's stuck between my fingers because the shaft is too thick. Any suggestions/comments?

Elaborate what you mean by 'stuck between your fingers'...

Forget the longer cue unless you have really long arms.

If you are having problems keeping a closed bridge because of the taper, then try a different taper. Or better yet try a smaller mm tip size so that the taper stays smaller a little longer.

We had to get my wife a 12mm in order for her to be able to shoot a proper close hand bridge. It worked wonders.

I've been trying a 60" cue lately and have felt pretty comfortable with it. I'm pretty average height (5'10") and to tell you the truth, didn't have any reason to switch from a 58" to a 60" other than curiosity. The cue doesn't feel too much different than a 58" cue except the balance point is a little different and I can reach some longer shots now that I couldn't before. Only way to really know if it's right for you is if you try it yourself; everybody's different and some people like apples and some people like oranges. Doesn't mean one is better than the other.

whatever feels better in my opinion, i will use. im only 5'7" and i use a 60 inch cue. i love it. had it for 3 weeks or so now but im shooting the best pool of my life. iv always had the tendancy to use a long bridge and grip the bottom of the cue. with a 60 inch cue my bridge feels normal and it feels as if i have room for my stroke hand. it just feels better to me....

well it doesn't get stuck per say, but i just feel like i can't stroke through.

thanks for the info. I think I will just try one out and see how I like it.
