Longer shaft vs Butt extension vs Middle extension

Hello all,

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this debate:

Let's imagine a longer than standard cue, for this example, a 63 inch cue, assembled in 3 different ways, with the same total weight in each case:
1) 34 inch shaft + 29 inch butt
2) 30 inch shaft + 29 inch butt + 4 inch butt extension
3) 30 inch shaft + 4 inch middle extension + 29 inch butt

Now let's also assume that in each case, the balance point stays exactly the same.

How would these scenarios compare to each other, what do you think would be the best out of the three and why.

I imagine that examples 2) and 3) would behave the same playability wise, but that the middle extension would have a higher chance of causing the cue to develop a roll/get crooked sooner rather than later. For example 1) I imagine that the shaft would indeed play differently, since it would be more ''whippy'', and it would get out of the way of the cueball faster, since the extra length of the cue would not have the same thickness to it, as it would in the other 2 examples with extensions. For this reason, I think that the shaft would also behave more like a LD one.

Again, this thread is meant only to compare the 3 builds between each other. The debate is not about the length of the cue, 63 inch is just an example here.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
