Just got this in today from an upstart in California you may not have heard of him, his name is Ernie but he makes a great cue and it plays very nicely.

That Ernie guy might have a future in cuemaking. LOLz, nice cue for a nooby. :grin-square:

Interesting choice for forearm wood. Most of the ones I've seen are made of BEM. Was this decision yours? Why? I have some theories, but would like to hear how this came about. I like it! It's not as flashy as others, but it's a Ginacue. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Nice observation, I requested a straight grain forearm for a couple of reasons. The first was to kinda keep it old school and the other was I thought that it might play better, probably not, but it is different. Thanks for the compliments!

Great answer. I was thinking along the same lines. Please let us know after you've given it a thorough test drive. I'm interested to hear about the results. House cues are shaft/forearm spliced into handle/butt. This approach of yours is very logical. However, though I'm sure it's a good one, the solid SS joint might take away from the translation. But that's just another theory of mine that I'd like to hear your thoughts on.

Thanks again, and I LOVE flame veneers!!!
