Why would anybody put a shaft from a KC custom cue on an Ernie Martinez??? Shane forgot to mention that's what the extra shaft is for...

In that case, I certainly would not consider KC cues. I thought you wanted a quick replacement shaft for a cheap cue. My bad. An Ernie Martinez deserves something much, much better. I don't know of any cuemaker who currently uses that thread, but I am sure someone could make you one.
