Looking for a cue lathe in the $700 range

My next payday I'll have save enough money to purchase the basic lathe set up with 4 foot bed from midamericapool.com

Before I pull the trigger I figured it can't hurt to see what's out there and maybe get lucky.
So if anyone has anything they don't use or need to get rid of to upgrade etc let me know what's available and we can come to an agreement.

Don't be cheap.......... don't even think about the sewing machine motor................. get the 1/2 hp dc motor..............big hole headstock......

I have a taig based one I could sell within that range. It has a headstock and bed from Todd, a 3/4 motor from a Hightower that isn't currently reversible unless you flip over at the plug at the motor. It has a leadscrew that just needs a motor hooked up to have the power feed. It has a 24 point indexing pulley. At that price I'll throw in a tool post holder and a cutter but that is it. For some more money I can add a set of taper bars I have laying around and a tapering cross slide with a riser for the headstock.

Just out of curiousity - do you still have those taper bars and cross slide? If so, what are you wanting for it?
