Cory Barnhart, Andy Gilbert, Jerry Rauenzhan, Steve Klein, Leon Sly, Jim Pierce, Paul Dayton, Bob Owen, Tony Kikel, Bob Harris, and the list goes on and on. Determine your cue budget, have a clear description of what you have in mind and post a message on the general forum.
In fact, that type of thread also qualifies for being posted in the wanted to buy section. You might consider mentioning your budget and the interested cue-makers will reach out to contact you. Another option is to just choose one or two cue-makers and contact them to find out if they'd be interested.
What you have in mind can become a personally satisfying project for you. I'm doing the exact same thing right now with a cue-maker and my cue build isn't even close to getting started. Nonetheless, it's becoming exciting just to see the project get off the drawing board, i.e., mine, and I'm looking forward to when the cue does get started.
So start composing your description of what you have in mind for a Balabushka cue. Think about the veneer colors and the cue weight, do you want MOP inlays, which version butt sleeve design do you like best, cue weight & shaft sizes, etc. Might as well get what you want and meanwhile, you can always keep looking up until you select a cue-maker to build you that cue.
