And some advice. I live in Northern VA (Woodbridge). The last pool room just closed and I've talked the wife into letting me finally get a table of my own. Bottom line, I need a Diamond or a GC nine footer. Does anyone know of a commercial used Diamond or GC in the general vicinity? I'm prepared to pull the trigger on a new ProAm, although the wife needs convincing. I really prefer to find a decent used table and spend my money on getting a top notch install (hopefully KingCobra is passing through...
).
My second dilemma is space. I've got a beautifully finished walk out basement, but it's only 18x12...which I know is a tad narrow, especially for a 9 footer. I'd prefer to put it down there, but fear I may need to put it in the attached 2 car garage...which will put the wife's Civic in the driveway and will make the ongoing negotiations tougher. I'm prepared to put in a dehumidifier and work out the heat/cold issues with a space heater and/or floor AC unit...the garage is insulated on three sides, the door obviously isn't and I'm not looking to spend tons on full conversion of the garage. Does anyone have a high end table in their garage and can advise on how it's held up? Seems crazy to spend tons on a top end table and risk damage, although I know it's done all the time. Northern VA is pretty mild, average humidity, 20's in the Winter, 90s in the Summer. Thoughts?
