Looking for a mechanic in Pittsburgh PA area

I have a 9' Brunswick Madison at my mother's house and plan on disassembling it and moving it to my place.

I helped disassemble and move it about 30 years ago so I should be able to handle that part of it and partial reassembly.

I contacted a couple of places in the forum's mechanic's directory but none are truly local. (I live in Beaver County, PA about 35 miles north of Pittsburgh).

One of the side rails has an evident crack at a corner pocket. The wood on top is cracked but does not open up when I pull on the pocket iron. I have repaired many gunstocks in my past life as a gunsmith for 5 years but don't know what this repair might involve until I pull the rail off and take a good look.

I want the table professionally set-up, leveled, new cushions and cloth. Possibly repair the cracked rail if I don't feel confident once I see what is there.

I did contact a local shop but when I told then about the cracked rail he hesitated and said "We can glue that." Honestly that did not inspire confidence in me about this shop.

This is my first post so I will try to attach a photo of the cracked rail.

Thanks and a happy 4th to all.

Thanx Rikdee, & Ralph K. (BTW, love the old "Honeymooners" show...classic TV for sure). I am assuming that is where you take your screen name from Ralph K. ?

Anyway no one responded to my post for quite some time so I kept looking...Funny thing is that I found Pyramid and was impressed by Kent's knowledge, I surely felt a confidence level during our conversation.

He picked up the rails last Friday. I talked with him today and he is sending the irons out to get new leather and will be fixing up the pockets as well. Will be adding "period" red/green fringe. Kent said that it is one of the nicest Madisons he has seen in years (made me happy to hear that).

I am going with Championship 3030 cloth in the "wine" color.

Well be going in my unfinished basement, trying to make the place presentable before the table is moved but that is somewhat secondary to getting it over here and set-up. Have a fairly big basement. Moved 6 motorcycles out and am leaving 3 classic Ducatis there (friends can sit on them while waiting their turn). Anyway it will be an unusual "room" to say the least...not pretty but hopefully fun and functional.

As you can probably tell, I'm rather excited to get my table here after all these years.

Thanx for the recommendation and it makes me even more comfortable with my choice to go with Pyramid !
