Looking for a realistically priced cue

UPDATE: Complete change of plans, having something custom made. Thanks to everyone who made me offers, but I'm all set now

Don't get me wrong, I love all the cue porn in the for sale section, but where are all the cues for us mere mortals?
I don't shoot a ton, I don't shoot to support myself or my hobbies, I'm not looking to take out a car sized loan, and I'm not looking to retire on my collection of cues in 40 years.
I want something better to shoot with when I do shoot, that's all.

I appreciate gorgeous examples of unique woods 10x more than fancy points or inlays. Simple, elegant, wood grains you could get lost in. Liking wrapless more lately, but would consider either.

My old favorite was a simple Players cue that I bought almost 20 years ago. Nothing like they are now, has a real solid hit, but butt and shaft warped over the years.
Started shooting with a predator z2 on a cheap butt (how I know the new Players don't compare by a long shot) and while I like it, I shouldn't have bought the 30" shaft, it throws me off.

So, long story short, show me what you got in the <$400 range? Straight, stunning woods, solid hit, 18.5-19.5oz or so
-Priority to 5/16x18 joints so I can try the shafts I have on the same stick
-Second priority to anyone who would be interested in the predator z2 in that thread size as a partial trade

PM would be best

I have an excellent used cue, made by Mark Bear, which I no longer use. I am willing to sell for $400, with one shaft. Leather wrap, 58 inches in length, straight, together or apart, 5/16X14 stainless steel joint and pin. Weight 18.8. Nothing fancy, has four points with BEM nose.

Need to see pictures. ge_bluhm@yahoo.com
