Okay, wanted to check here on AZ before I "ebay" it. My 14 yo son is joining the Junior League, and I wanted to get him something to have as his own. Nothing too expensive of course, but decent for a beginner's cue.

Since it's a gift, I would prefer something new if possible, or at least in very good condition. His favorite color is red, so that would be great if it's a part of the cue's color scheme.

Let me know what you guys have. Thanks in advance.

If no one has anything on here, I'd highly suggest a McDermott Lucky cue. Many on eBay. IMO, can't beat the price for the level of cue. Good luck in your search.

Big Plus one on the McD cues.
Bought a couple for "guest cues" they really play good.

I have tried McD Lucky and they play good for the price

or you can just click on link in my signature and get real good set for your son for free))

Child size cue

Depending on how tall your son is perhaps a child size cue is in order. As he grows and if his interest holds you can get him a better and standard size shaft later on.

I have to agree with the McDermott Lucky line. You can pick them up for $39 for a solid color, and I have been using mine for league play every week..

I have my high dollar double splice up for sale in the forums... as I enjoy playing with the Lucky just as much.

Picked up a McDermott L10 for my girlfriend. Hits really nice for a $49 cue. And, its red...

Find one you like at your local room and make offer to buy. No shipping no tax and return ok.
