Corey and I will be in Philly this weekend and would like to match up at 8-ball on the 9 footers for practice for the IPT. Looking for single or doubles games.

Tell EGGHEAD that "FORTY" from ballbusters has been known to play some IPT guys in 8ball, for practice.
I think that he's probably your best bet if Corey's looking to get some cheap practice in, cause i know that "Forty" played in some of the IPT qualifiers.

why not just come up about 150 miles north and play at the joss event in albany. should be alot of good games there............mike

Barbara, do you know if the pool room in Trevose (I think it's called The Spot), do they serve beer there? Also, is it in a safe neighborhood? I'm going to be in Levittown this wkend and wouldn't mind checking out some new places. I'm looking for something safe and that serves alcohol. I'll go into the City if I have to but I just remembered this place isn't too far from where I'm going to be.... Thanks

I'm just looking for a place in a safe neighborhood where I don't have to put up with a bunch of kids. The two rooms we have here don't serve alcohol either and I won't go near them on the wkends...it's nothing but kids.Barbara said:Timberly,

Well you have to join The Spot. That is, you pay $1 for a club membership and they photograph your drivers license. And this is definitely no "kiddie" club.
Call them - maybe they have some kind of BYOB.

Aaron and Corey didn't get in to Philly until late Friday night, but didn't stay the entire weekend. I stayed since my flight didn't leave until Sunday night.thunup1@yahoo.c said:
I did make it to Drexeline yesterday with some other friends, and had a great time. This Russian guy kept asking me and the guy behind the counter, Tom, for lessons on "American pool". He started looking at cues, rolled one around on the ground, and bought it, a $600+ Joss (with a cheapie plastic case), and hit some balls around by himself. He left about an hour later, then came back, wanting to return the cue! Of course, Tom couldn't take it back. I offered him $200 lol He said no.

This doesn't sound correct. I no Corey didn't pass up a game from Danny getting weight. Just to let you know Corey will play danny even with a 2:00 min. shot clock in Ohio. Corey will give Danny the last 2 with a 1:00 min. shot clock. The 8 ball with a 30 second shot clock and the 7 ball with a 15 second shot clock. Let me know if Danny want's to do something, he has both mine and Corey's number.
