Looking for Bob Zide

Well, as the title says, I am trying to get in touch with Bob Zide. I have one of his cues, and I would like to get a refinish and rewrap done.

I have tried some old phone numbers and never got through to anyone.

If anyone knows him or knows how to get in contact with him let me know or direct him to this thread.

Does anyone know if he is strill making cues?

I really love this cue and would prefer to have the work done by the original maker, but if that is not an option then I would be interested in some quotes from others to get the work done. I need a complete refinish and rewrap with leather. Cue is in good condition, just some dings in the finish, none go through the finish. Maybe get some matching j/p s too.

He is apparently still making cues, as he has one listed on ebay right now. It looks nice too at a stupid low price! Sorry, I'm not sure how to post a link but, the description is simply 'custom cue' and his ID is bobbyz*954. He is responding to emails, as I had a couple questions about the cue. Can you tell me anymore about his reputation and quality of work? Thanks.

Yes I did see that auction. It is a crazy price so far, but there is still a lot of time left on it. I would buy as many as he had for that price!

The cue I have is very nice. 4 ebony points into flame maple forearm with 4 veneers and notched ivory inlays in each. Nice sharp and even spliced points. Ebony butt sleeve with 8 ivory diamond inlays, full ivory joint with ivory stitched ringwork and an original 314 blank matched to the cue and a leather wrap and ivory butt cap. Very classic looking cue, dressed up but not over the top. This is by far the fanciest example of his I have seen. He used to help Dennis at his shop part time. He is listed in the blue book, but there is not too much info in there.

The cue feels and plays very good. I am very happy with it. That is why I would like to have it redone to start with a new finish and wrap.
