looking for cue designing pc software?

i have a few cue designs that i want to make up on my computer but microsoft paint is just not going to cut it.
i normaly draw everything by hand then send it to who i want to make it but email is so much faster and i dont have a scaner.
what i really want is a program thats free but not much better then microsoft paint. any suggestions?
 
Cue designing

There is no software out there to do what you want, much less being free.

It would take CAD/CAM type software, and it would have to be oriented towards cue designing with template libraries. I approached Alibre Cad/Cam about doing this, but they will not do it without some upfront financing to do it.

all i am looking for is a paint program thats a bit better then ms paint, i just want to make a picture that kinda looks like a cue nothing really fancy.

i know there was a guy on here that was doing some really nice drawings on his pc and posting them,,,, i will try and find the thread and post it.
 
I remember several posts on this subject and yes there is a site out there that offers at best a basic design element.

I'm sorry about not having a link, but I promise you it is out there and can most likely be located on AZ through a search.

If you are going for something simple I'd recommend looking at illustrator or smartdraw.

This will get you the basic shapes that you can then drop skins onto

i am downloading the free demo to smartdraw now,, i will see how it works out and maybe post a pic of what i come up with,

the free demo to smart draw just give you very very basic options, thanks for the help.

i few years back i remember comming across a cuemakers web page that had a program that would help you design a cue, if you choose a BEM butt sleve for example it would show a cue rendering of what you picked, if you added points it would show the points with the woods you have picked.

has anyone come across this site befor?
