Looking for recommendations from San Antonio and south down into Rio Grande Valley and in between.

-San Antonio
-Corpus
-Kingsville
-Mcallen
-Brownsville

Etc

Looking for well playing 9ft tables. Diamond or Brunswick. Good tables more important than action and such for now.

Thanks,

DT

Heard good things about Pearl's Billiards in SA. Haven't played there. Look at The Vault on northeast side SA. Bananas in SA as well, haven't played there in a few years. All have 9' tables.

I see the thread is a little dated but I like Banana's. It is old school with low ceilings but a warm feel. Nice people, smoking is outside only and they take good care of their tables. I'm guessing the tables are GC because of their age. It was founded by Banana Rodriquez and was to supposed to be quite the hot spot back in the 70's and 80's.
I went to a new room in the Galleria Oaks shopping center that had a micro brewery and 25 tables all in red cloth. It had 15' big screen hanging from the ceiling. The full pat-down for weapons creeped me out and the blaring rap music turned me off. To each their own. I hated the red cloth too.

I was there a few months back. Nice place with a nice crowd; I spoke with the owners for a spell, I beleive they bought the place more or less recently. As far as equipment, they had a bunch of recently purchased Diamond 9 footers and they take very good care of them.
