As the story goes...i bought this cue many years ago from a guy offline that had recently purchased some cue building lathes and other stuff from a cue makers family after he passed away. This cue along with a few others was in with the shipped equipment so the cues went up for sale. It was a long time ago and i cannot remember who it was..if anyone reconizes workmanship please help. I got offered a good amount for it but am waiting to see what its worth. Cuemaker was from northeast if i remember right..Thanks!

I could be way off here, but the cue reminds me of the cues that Ronnie Powell (Q-Perfect Cues) was selling at Valley Forge about 8 years ago. The cues were actually made by Linds in the Philippines. Beautiful inlaywork all done by hand.
I agree with Sherm...it's definitely done in a style frequently seen in Philippine custom cues. Nice looking cue.
i totally agree that this cue was made here in PI..Maybe Linds, but not so sure..
i showed to cue maker in denver couple years ago and joint, ferrules on both shafts and all white inlay is ivory. As far as i know nothing coming from phillipines has real ivory inlays. Mostly plastics and shell materials. Got offered 2k for it at tourney in tampa last year from guy that is avid collector. Doubt it from over seas but thanks.
Just for your information, there is a lot of Ivory used in the high end cues from the Philippines. There are some fine cues made in the Philippines. Just because they are made overseas doesn't mean they're Ramin wood made in Taiwan. I'd say if id was a Linds cue with all that ivory, $2k would be a good deal!

Sherm, you kissed their leader's bottom, I would not. That is the main difference between you ads I. I would not go meet Edwin, thus that started him against me. Sherm you have only visited here. you know diddly squat about this culture and how that many arguments are settled by raw blunt force or guns, you think you know, but you do not! So why revisit this? The last 4 months he has placed a gold logo into some of his cues, his own logo this time, copied my one-piece maple style, copied two of my designs and he and his band of cohorts literally copy whole pages of my copyrighted materials and post them on a Philippine forum where they do nothing in thread but bash me. I offer now and have offered many time this; i will take down any mention of these codswallops if they remove ever bit of trash they have posted about me. For years they have refused. Linds and/or his friends have posted hate speech against me on many forums not related to pool including a porn forum. This is what i am up against and you silent cue makers in America watch, afraid to tell them to shut up. A few of you will, three I have been told.
B. Next I discovered it was illegal to ship ivory overseas. At the time I had only learned of pool forums and pool magazines and for once i did not have a clue to the world-wide treaties governing the shipment of ivory. The illegality of shipping ivory overseas greatly influenced me to not do this. I plainly state on my site that I will make or inlay ivory in a cue, but the customer must come and pick it up himself.

There are two types of the ways Linds sells his cues. One sometimes he puts his name under the wrap. Then sometimes he does not put his name. he knows it is going to warp because he cut out the butt in a single day!
My name is not on the outside nor under the wrap of that cue, although it is a dead ringer for one of my designs. Take the wrap off and look, if it has Linds name, then it is his cue, and if it does not have Linds name, then it is still his cue.

You admit you never have seen Linds build or work on cue. Dan Prather, recently honored, showed up one morning with a cue colle4ctor from Thailand and found me and one of my sons working in my shop. they watched me work a while and we shot the bull.
Efren watched me work and told Jim Wych the former national snooker champion for Canada that he could hardly wait to get the QP Cue he had ordered. He also told Jim he was excited and was soon going to have it.
The reason he hardly used it was the pressure exerted by one Edwin Reyes upon him through his manager and his mentor.. Efren's photo receiving that cue was a terrible embarrassment to Edwin and to Linds, whom both have literally begged him for years to shoot with their cues. Efren told me he was tired of them bothering him. Furthermore he showed me one of Edwin's cues saying he took it only to make him leave him alone. He did say he shot one shot in a tournament in Manila with it and that one shot cost Edwin 10,000 pesos. He then smiled.

I am impressed. when you were getting those men to use your cues there were not more than 25 cue makers in all of America and you and only a few others would show up at tournaments. There were not many horses to ride at all at those tournaments. today the beginners do it by coming on this forum showing their latest cues to help with sales. The players during those years only had a few of you to choose from at the tournaments, didn't they? Do not stretch the truth, Mr. Sherm Adamson. And I plainly state on my web site that if any Pro wants a cue from me they MUST pay for it, except Debbie Schjodt. I turned down two Pros last year because they wanted me to give them the cues. Ricky yang bought one and sold it a few weeks ago saying it was too powerful for him. He liked it, he said, but it would take him two months to get used to it and he did not have that much time to stop playing to get used to the cue. He bought it at a cue selling shop after trying out every cue in that shop.

There were not many horses to ride at all at those tournaments. today the beginners do it by coming on this forum showing their latest cues to help with sales. The players during those years only had a few of you to choose from at the tournaments, didn't they? Do not stretch the truth, Mr. Sherm Adamson. And I plainly state on my web site that if any Pro wants a cue from me they MUST pay for it, except Debbie Schjodt. I turned down two Pros last year because they wanted me to give them the cues. People outside the Philippines buy my cues just like they do Linds cues which he sells for $65 here. Most of Linds cue are sold outside. I am not going to sell one of my cues for less than $1,760.00 Only seven of my cues have been bought in The Philippines. One to a rich Filipino, my first scrimshawed cue and others to Americans with money.

Looks like a nice cue. It looks to be an import (I'm going by the points and style of the inlay work).
You should've taken the 2K, IMO.
And the Filipinos use real ivory and some are very underrated cue makers IMO.
