Looking for input on Training aids.

I never had any training or even thought about technique and physics of the game. I recently joined a league and am inspired get better.

Other then experience and professional tutors, can anyone recommend any training aids? I know the basics on stance, grip, and speed. I'm looking for something more involved with english, hard english, planning a rack, breaking, and drills that I can do to reinforce those skills not just watch them on a dvd.

Any input welcome.

I know you are asking for other answers, but the best training aid you can get is a professional instructor.

RandyG holds a pool school in CT every year. Scott Lee travels the country teaching and would be happy to work with you when he is up there. Both are regulars on this forum. Contact them! It will be the best thing you could do for your game.

Pool School in Harford, Ct this June.....randyg@poolschool.com

A couple of the classic instructional books, Play Your Best Pool by Phil Capelle and Byrne's New Standard Book of Pool and Billiards by Robert Byrnes, have sections on practice and drills.
