Very interested in one of these cues. They seemed to be priced right too. Anyone have one or shot with one and care to share how you like it? Also, is the EC7 series newer than the ZZ series? Some places online only carry the ZZ series. Is one better than the other? And is the WD-700 that comes with the EC7 12.5 or 12.8. Thanks

the ec7 is the nuts, WD 700 is best production shaft made.

Not sure on exact size.

You want regret it, the first time I hit with one I didn't put it down for a half hour, never missed a ball.

I traded for one a week later.

I did change the tip to a kamui black soft, the morri was a little hard for me.

Never hit with one but, there is a EC7 in the for sale section for $245. I almost bought it just to try it out. The WD700 shaft is 12.75mm. Do a search for Mezz in the FS section and he was selling a Mezz break cue also that has been sold. Ron

WOW. $245 is STEALING

I just saw that cue is 18.4oz and I like 19 to 19.5. Maybe I could get a weight bolt. Ozone Billiards is the only place I can find the ec7 online. Are they a good place to buy from?

ZZ series all have laminated butts, which Mezz may make the handle size slightly smaller.

EC7 if like their other cues will have very slightly thicker handle sizes.

And the WD700 is a great hitting shaft... you can't go wrong with any of the Mezz cues ZZ or EC7

Try finding it from Caroline Pao, i believe she's the president of the co#

I have a EC7-K, Great cue. WD700 shaft is great! Mine comes in at 12.6mm. Weight bolts are easy to get or make your own with 3/8 threaded rod.

Mezz cue=quality, can't go wrong!

Are you still looking for EC7 model?
I just posted my Mezz EC7-es and Icebreaker break/jump cue for sale.
My EC7-es comes with WX900 (just bought from Japan) and HP2 shafts. I bought them all from Japan.

The ZZ series was developed to allow US dealers to provide a range of cues other than the ones carried by Mezz USA. There are more of them produced than the EC7 range. EC stands for Exotic Cue and is made from exotic timbers in a plainer style. The finish and quality of Mezz is unsurpassed in the world of production style cues and Kaz is highly sought after for his unique and innovative design work.

I am not sure if Mezz USA stock any ZZ or even if they would sell one.
Is it possible to get a WD700 or HP2 with a Uniloc or Viking QR joint?
You can order the Mezz shafts with any variation of standard thread including UniLoc. You would have to check about the Viking joint. Sometimes Viking prefer you to obtain a shaft blank and send it to them to have the joint fitted...and then it would not really be a Mezz shaft ;-)
There may however be a waiting period. The Mezz factory takes great pride in their work and unlike some other brands they do not wish to over produce and lose quality, or flood the market with a second rate product that is mass produced just for profit.
They will try and accommodate any request and are great people to deal with.

You can contact them here: http://mezzusa.com/

If you have any problem with special orders you can PM me and I can run you through the process or liaise with the US team or Japan on your behalf. I am the distributor in my region.
