Im pretty sure that you can use a pre-1964 silver quarter to get the ring you desire. I was told buy a guy that knew Gus Szamboti personally that this is what he used and that they wouldnt "shrink" like a nickel silver ring. I have no idea if this is true or not but it just might be worth a shot. Naturally if you do decide to do it this way you would have to sand both sides of it flat to remove the face and eagle off of the quarter.
