From the webs, seems Breakers and Pinkey's are the ones to play at, anyone know of any others worth a visit? Or any specifics about those two like tournaments, is the crowd nice, owners I should smooze for the best table ?

From what my work has coming up it seems I will be spending a solid month of time there. I'll have a car so open to things in suburbs if not too far.

Those are the 2 main ones. Others bars with valley tables.
Breakers is the nicer of the 2 , diamond 9 footers very well kept.
But pinkys gets the local tournaments.
When are you going to be here?

Those are the only two true pool halls in the city. Pinky's is a dump with maybe 1 diamond 9 footer, and another 4-6 gold crowns. Breakers has 3 carom tables and maybe 15 diamond 9 footers.

Breakers is my home room and their tables are kept in good condition but other than that there's nothing special about the place. It's still owned by Paul Mottey but his son runs it and he's not very personable. You're out of luck with tournaments too since they never hold them. You can usually (at least pre covid) find some locals either practicing or playing one pocket though.

Not sure about the time, but will be several months from now, late spring or summer time, maybe later.
